Weekly Activities

Here's a look at our regular weekly activities. We'd love to see you there!

Tuesday

Community Pantry - 10:30am - 12:30pm

Our Community Pantry is here to support local people with affordable food for everyone. There’s no referral needed – just come along and see us. For a small donation, you can pick up a selection of groceries: £3 – Standard shopping bag £4 – Large shopping bag We offer a variety of items, including: Fresh fruit and vegetables, store cupboard essentials, frozen foods, fridge items etc. Each week brings something different, and everyone is welcome. We’re proud to support our community by helping stretch budgets and reduce food waste. Pop in and see what’s available – we’re here for you.
Don't worry if you can't make it in at those times, contact us and we will see what we can do for you.

Play Together - 1:15pm - 2:45pm

A friendly weekly play session for babies, toddlers and their grown-ups at Haswell Community Centre. Children can enjoy fun activities, sensory play, and song and rhyme time in a welcoming environment.

Wednesday

Baby & Toddler Group - 9:30am - 11:00am

A welcoming and fun group for babies and toddlers to play, explore, and learn! Enjoy a variety of toys, books, and sensory activities, along with messy play to spark curiosity and creativity. While the little ones have fun, parents, carers, and guardians can relax, chat, and connect with others in a friendly, supportive environment.

Bereavement Support Group - 9:30am - 11:30am

If you are struggling through your grief journey, come and join us in our new face-to-face bereavement group, no matter the length of time or circumstances around the passing of your loved one.

Baby Bank - 10:30am - 2:30pm

The Baby Bank is a community-led project helping local families give their little ones the best possible start. Through donations of pre-loved and new baby essentials, we ensure that every child — regardless of circumstance — has access to the items they need to grow, play, and thrive.

Crafty Corner - 12:00pm - 2:00pm

Welcome to our Crafty Corner – a warm, friendly space for anyone who loves to craft and chat! Bring your knitting, crochet, cross-stitch, sewing, or any other crafty project, and enjoy a relaxed session of creativity, laughter, and conversation. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced maker, there’s always a spot for you to unwind, share tips, and make new friends.

Youth Club - 3:30pm - 5:30pm

A safe and welcoming space for young people aged 5 years and up to hang out, have fun, and make friends! Our youth club features a tuck shop, a hot meal, and a variety of activities led by certified youth workers. Come along to relax, learn new skills, and enjoy a supportive environment where your voice is heard and valued.

Haswell Parish Council Meeting (Last Wednesday of the month) - 6pm - 8pm

Runs once a month, last Wednesday of the month (except August and December). Come and have your say.

Thursday

Luncheon Club - 12:00pm - 2:00pm

A friendly and welcoming lunchtime gathering offering a delicious 2-course meal with table service – and takeaway available – in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, all for a small £4 donation! Enjoy good food, great company, and the chance to meet new people and catch up with friends.

PACT Meeting (every other month) - 5pm - 6pm

Help and advice from the local police. Come in and speak to the local police, raise any concerns, worries etc that you have.

Sewing Club (every other week) - 9:30am - 11:30am

*Starts 26th March for initial crash course on how to use your sewing machine. Bring you own sewing machine. 10am - 4pm. £20*

After the inital crash course, we will be holding a sewing club every other week, free of charge.

Friday

Kids Kabin - 3:30pm - 5:00pm

*Starting Friday 13th March*

A fun, friendly and welcoming space where young people can learn, create, explore and make new friends.Each week brings something new and exciting, with hands-on activities such as:

Clay modelling, woodworking, cooking, games, creative play and lots more surprises!

A place to build confidence, creativity and smiles every week.

Consent Forms - All young people will need a consent form completed by their parent/guardian before attending their first session.This can be completed in person by popping into the centre, or a digital version can be sent on request.

Sunday

Pilates - 10:00am - 10:45am

Starting Sunday 15th March

Looking for a great way to start your Sunday? Come along to our Pilates class every Sunday at 10am.

 Suitable for all levels – beginners welcome!
 **Please bring your own mat and water bottle**
 Free for everyone for 10 sessions (£5 donation welcome)

This is a fantastic chance to stretch, strengthen, and connect with others in the community in a relaxed and friendly session.
